Janice’s Background

Born and raised on the banks of the Ohio River, deep in western Kentucky, Janice was the middle of seven children. She graduated from the University of Kentucky and excelled in the world of corporate sales. Life between corporate sales and the store was filled raising her two children and a few golden retrievers alongside her husband of now 40 years. When she became an empty nester, she ventured back into the working world, this time in sales of luxury home goods, and quickly spread her wings.

Through Janice’s distinguished eye, Syers Browning is a distinctive shoppe with exquisite objet d’art. Syers Browning opened in the height of the pandemic with a folding table inside a vacant garage, and welcoming arms to Lexington, Kentucky. The store grew rapidly and is a premier destination for the discerning customer creating a thoughtfully curated, iconic home.
